Our client is looking for a talented Interior Designer who excels in both design creativity and client communication. The ideal candidate should have a passion for residential design and a knack for understanding and delivering on client expectations. You'll be joining a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, where your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AutoCAD for design drafting and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and requirements.
  • Select finishes and materials in line with project objectives and budget.
  • Manage takeoffs including sourcing, purchasing, and handoff of items for construction.
  • Work closely with the design-build team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Create MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings when necessary.
  • Provide hand sketches to convey design concepts as needed.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • Intuitive design sense with a keen eye for detail.
  • Some understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week in the office in Williamsburg, BK.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in residential interior design.
  • Familiarity with MEP drawings and construction documentation.
  • Ability to listen to client needs and translate them into actionable design plans.
  • Portfolio showcasing diverse design styles and successful projects.
