Resource Options is Hiring an Environmental Scientist Near Stratford, CT

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Dust monitoring and air sampling during all soil excavation and loading activities
  • Air sample collection for analysis of asbestos, copper, PCBs, and lead using varying filter/cassette type sample pumps and devices
  • Preparing chains of custody and coordinating shipment/laboratory currier service
  • Preparing and issuing daily and weekly air monitoring reports
  • Ensure work practices are not resulting in dust/contamination levels exceeding permissible levels established in work plans

Requirements:

  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER required
  • 2-5 years environmental science experience
  • Familiarity with TSI Dust Track II (or similar)
  • Familiarity with meteorological station monitoring and maintenance
  • Familiarity with personal air sampling filters/cassettes is a plus
