Overview

RES is accepting applications for a part-time Accounting Clerk to work in our Baton Rouge office.

What your day-to-day might look like?

• Assists with the data entry of invoices/vouchers or general journal entries
• Adhere to policies, procedures and instructions related to the AP Department.
• Entering payables
• Setting up new vendors
• Organizing A/P invoices
• Processing A/P
• Maintaining A/P filing
• Handling any inquiries regarding A/P
• Making payments to stay current with all vendor accounts
• Assisting with audit support
• Routing invoices for approval
• Coding invoices
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Respond to vendor emails and phone calls in a timely manner
• Processing invoices for payment
• Perform special projects and analysis as needed
• Reconciliations

Qualifications

• Prefer a candidate who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business related major 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
