Resource Data is Hiring a GIS Technician Near Branch, ID

As a GIS Technician with Resource Data, you will join a team of GIS consultants working directly with clients to enter and maintain their GIS data. You will work to create and update printed and online maps for internal and external use. Learning from our Senior GIS Analysts and GIS Service Area Lead, you will gain invaluable GIS experience to take your career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit GIS data using ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro
  • Perform spatial adjustments to existing GIS data
  • Work with Esri geoprocessing tools
  • Create and maintain printed and online maps
  • Effectively communicate with clients, management, and peers
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve issues

Basic Qualifications

  • 0-2 years' professional experience in a role using GIS concepts such as geometric networks, topology, and snapping lines
  • Experience with ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro
  • Knowledge of Esri geoprocessing tools
  • Strong understanding of cartographic principles and design
  • Ability to build rapport through written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1 years' experience in a client-facing role
  • Experience in utilities (natural gas, water, wastewater, or electric) datasets
  • Ability to read and understand As-Built drawings
  • Experience editing in a versioned environment
