Preferred Qualifications:
  • Enterprise communications and network architecture experience in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
  • Strong experience with on-premises/private, public cloud network services.
  • CCIE or equivalent technical certification beneficial.
  • Experience in architecting and working with large-scale IP networks with multiple routing domains and service providers, including routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
  • Experience in architecting and implementing network security and QoS technologies.
  • Extensive experience in layered solutions and designs, diverse technical configurations, across multiple technologies and processing environments.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise network architecture, operations, technology trends, and security.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills; ability to influence and persuade without direct control.
  • Strong desire to drive change and ability to adapt to change quickly. Recognized as a thought leader.
  • Able to develop opportunities, pitch, and deliver projects such as Network Transformation, Network Roadmaps, automation and SD-WAN with SASE, Software Defined Data Centers, Data Management and Analytics, IoT, Remote Access, and WAN Cost Optimizations.

The Enterprise Network and Communications Architect is a combined practical and strategic position that involves establishing technical strategy, defining enterprise architectures, and leading architecture roadmaps for enterprise network, voice, and communications solutions. This position provides technical guidance and training to the implementation teams, serves as a technology and best practices evangelist, and ensures that implementations follow the finest standards and principles. It advises technical management and business areas on key architectural decisions regarding platforms and supporting technologies. This role produces technical architectures that are scalable, maintainable, dependable, secure, and meet performance requirements. It also represents the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization across the company, delivering technical solutions, ensuring continuity on major solution decisions, communicating technology solution value across all levels, and ensuring solutions are implemented according to the defined architecture and technical standards.Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for enterprise communication and network architectural design and planning of complex IT system interactions.
  • Understand general IT application structures, network components, and holistic IT functions, operations, security solutions, and dataflows of an enterprise network.
  • Stay knowledgeable of past, present, and upcoming network technologies, standards, and best practices for effective solution planning and integration.
  • Develop enterprise networking architectural patterns, approaches, and design solutions, and research new technologies and approaches.
  • Create standards and roadmaps and develop recommendations for migrating to future standards.
  • Design, architecture, and automation designs of on-premise, wide-area, and cloud networking solutions, including multi-site, multi-cloud network infrastructure.
  • Partner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous initiatives from conception through implementation.
  • Contribute to standards and design patterns, delivering solutions tailored to internal business requirements.
  • Articulate design rationale, adapt solutions flexibly, and iterate designs as required.
  • Provide 3rd level support and input for diagnosing reported issues and providing root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with senior management, architecture, application managers, and IT operations teams.
  • Enhance efficiency through automation and cross-train team members on projects and network technologies.
  • Address security requirements across the enterprise through the appropriate application of people, processes, and technology.
  • Develop architectures and roadmaps for large-scale IP networks with multiple routing domains and service providers.
