Job Description:
The Oswego Thrifty Shopper is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate II. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving sales in a retail environment. This position requires a high level of product knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to identify their needs and recommend products that meet those needs. The Sales Associate II will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, restocking merchandise, and processing transactions.
- High School diplomas or GED certificate
- 1-3 years retail experience preferred
- Previous customer-service experience
- Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred
- Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public
- Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and days
- Customer-service oriented
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Manages time efficiently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- This position will require the ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color coded racks and sizing by number, bending and lifting will be required.
