Job Description:

The Seneca Falls Thrifty Shopper is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate I. The position is a part time position representing 29 hours a week. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving sales in a retail environment. This position requires a high level of product knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to identify their needs and recommend products that meet those needs. The Sales Associate I will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, restocking merchandise, and processing transactions.

• High School diplomas or GED certificate

• 1-3 years retail experience preferred
• Previous customer-service experience
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience preferred
• Emotionally mature and able to handle stress professionally and in public

• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and days
• Customer-service oriented
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Manages time efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• This position will require the ability to stand for long periods of time, visually check color coded racks and sizing by number, bending and lifting will be required.
