Job Title: Program Support Associate in our Representative Payee Department.

Job Summary: Responsible for providing support for the day-to-day operations of a program that serves 700 clients. The primary objective of this department is to mentor clients towards making better financial decisions and moving towards financial independence.

Essential Job Functions

• Work with clients to assess living situations and financial responsibilities.
• Establish and assist client with developing financially sound and consistent budgeting practices.
• Pay clients bills according to pre-established budget.
• Maintain accurate client files.
• Maintain a professional relationship with all clients.
• Network with other agencies for additional services for client.
• Prepare paperwork for referral agencies.
• Prepare social security (623) and/or other reports as assigned specifically to client caseload.
• Print/Upload checks/True Link Debits for all clients.
• Do all banking functions-Stop Pays/Voids, Bank Errors and Uploads to Positive Pay.
• Review/enter monthly deposit information from bank records. (Previews/Proofs)
• Assist with program improvement and efficient strategies for work processes and reporting.
• Provide support with development of the software training manual.
• Administer training, support and follow up to employees, to include but not limited to, Accufund.
• Meet with supervisor weekly to discuss client issues/concerns/goals, provide status updates and upcoming client developments.
• Report to supervisor immediately critical concerns that demand administrative guidance.
• Provides support to the department in the absence of the Mgr, Rep Payee Program.
• Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor.
• Maintain a professional and approachable attitude on the Mission campus.
• All other duties as requested by your supervisor.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• AAS Degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred
• (1) year experience with 1-1 interaction with client with identification of client’s needs and goals for the development of a budget
• (1) year of experience working with special populations in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness helpful
• (1) year supervisory/training experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Accufund, QuickBooks, Peachtree, preferred
• Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License
• Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement

All employees of the Rescue Mission are required to complete annual mandated trainings.

Status/Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
