SUMMARY

We are seeking a General Maintenance/Custodial person to join our team. In this role, you will manage and be responsible for maintenance and custodial tasks, whether performed by you or an outside vendor. Maintenance of the interior and exterior facilities and grounds to keep them in prime condition for a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine walk through of company facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic repairs and maintenance tasks that do not require a specialized technician. Tasks may include but are not limited to plumbing, drywall repair, painting.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and other contracted services.
• Manage vendor contacts, contracts, and insurance certificates.
• Create/maintain annual/monthly/seasonal maintenance logs.
• Create/maintain maintenance request log.
• Create/maintain inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
• Clean office spaces, restrooms, and public areas.
• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the facilities.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
• Responsible for trash and recycling in offices, warehouse, and public areas.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies. Works with outside vendors as needed.
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Snow/ice removal of walkways, parking lots and dock areas.
• Landscape maintenance and grounds clean-up to keep free of debris.
• Provide general support to other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Maintain open and effective communication with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Time management and prioritization skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technical skills for basic facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Working in an office and warehouse setting.
• Occasional year-round outdoor work.
• The temperature of the warehouse is conducive to the outside weather.
• Occasionally exposed to cold or freezer conditions.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.

This position will be expected to work different schedules, to cover duties outside our business hours, equaling a 40-hour work week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
