Resale with a Purpose (RWAP) is a local non-profit resale store organized to glorify God by receiving donations from our community, retailing them efficiently and attractively and supporting Christian ministries in the community by donating the surplus generated by our operations to them. "Helping our community by repurposing donated goods."
We are seeking a Store Manager--Staff Training and Sales. This is a full time, salaried position that we want to fill now. The Store Manager—Staff Training and Sales is one of two direct reports to the Executive Director. RWAP is open Monday-Saturday 10:30 am to 6:30 pm so the Store Manager is required to work 5 days per week including alternating Saturdays.
The Store Manager is responsible to the Executive Director for , including opening and closing, receiving donations from the public, sorting donations to select the best marketable items, presenting them in the Store attractively, turning the Store inventory regularly IAW the Store procedures manual, directly supervising to Store staff, ensuring Staff hours are recorded accurately, accounting for and securing daily sales proceeds on scheduled Opening/Closing days. and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the Store. The Store Manager is the lead salesperson on the sales floor, engaging and encouraging visitors and explaining special items available in the store.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lead, supervise and motivate the staff of 16 employees so that they are productive and fulfilled in their work. Employees include cashiers, donations reception, pricing, clothes sorting, rack and shelves stocking with donated goods prepared for display, heavy goods moving/customer assistance.
- Ability to engage goods donors and store customers in love, welcoming them, remembering their names, pointing out unique items to them and encouraging them to shop frequently with us...always expressing thanks to them. A loving salesperson and company representative.
- Ability to analyze sales trends and respond to them; ensuring store shelves and racks are fully stocked at all times.
- Ability to respond wisely to real time unexpected situations and opportunities that arise constantly in a very active resale store environment.
- Ability to lift donations up to 50 pounds and assist in movement of donated furniture.
- Ability to operate cash registers and credit card machines and to close them out upon store closing, accounting for and securing cash received. Strong record of work in positions of financial accountability and trust.
- Ability to work 5 days per week 10:00 am to closing at 6:30 pm including every other Saturday.
Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
