RER Solutions, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Senior Consultant to become a part of our superior workforce in Washington, DC. The Senior Consultant will provide onsite and remote federal program leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the development and interagency review of Executive Branch agency legislative proposals
• Coordinate the interagency review of agency testimony and letters to Congress expressing views on bills it is considering
• Research and analyze new legislation and summarize the impacts on the agency.
• Comb through the draft of a bill to analyze how it will impact the agency
• Monitor and analyze the activities and new policies established by local, state, and federal governments.
• Follow and examine the legislative initiatives that affect the agency and provide detailed reports about how the legislation will influence its activities. 
• Communicate findings through reports, memorandums, social media, and presentations.
• Organize meetings and conferences, or arrange official visits from legislators to the agency
• Stay abreast of developments and changes in government and budget processes and analyze areas.
• Conduct a comprehensive issue analysis and anticipate potential policy and budgetary problems
• Assess the impact and Congressional reaction to agency engagement strategies and ensure policy and budgetary recommendations 
• Assign and track Congressional reporting requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
• A minimum of 5 years of previous work experience in policy or legislative affairs
• Ability to work independently on multi-disciplinary teams in conducting data analysis
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines independently and yet still be team-oriented 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science or Law
