Our facility is looking for a Certified Dietary Manager to join our team!

We are looking for high-level culinary talent to bring the dining experience to new levels for our residents/guests. One of the most important parts of their day is mealtime. It is a time to visit with others and enjoy a nutritious and flavorful meal. Our culinary staff is the key to making all that possible.

The Certified Dietary Manager will:

• Assists in development of policies and procedures, and menus, in charge of development of individualized job descriptions, cleaning schedules, and other dietary management tools.
• Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines.
• Processes new diet orders and diet changes when received from Nursing Service and keeps diet tray cards updated.
• Visits residents to do in-depth initial nutritional assessment and screening, explain diet, record food preferences, and promote a quality of food service. Visits at least one time per quarter.
• Evaluates work performance and gives periodic evaluations to dietary employees.
• Enforces established rules and regulations of the Facility and Dietary Department.

Certified Dietary Manager must have the following:

• Ability to effectively communicate with families, guests, and co-workers
• Promote a positive environment and teamwork approach
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks of others
• Hold your Food Handlers certificate
• Must hold or acquire Certifications as a Dietary Manager (CDM); an Associate degree in Food Service Management or Nutrition (DT or DTR); or a 4-year degree in Nutrition or similar area.
