Who We're Looking For: Our Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician would be a role model for the team and lead by example. The position's duties would include but are not limited to: Following protocols set forth by the Practice Manager and Medical Director Medication inventory Technician Appointments and patient assessment Anesthesia monitoring following AAHA guidelines and documentation Surgical prep and assisting Dentistry Radiology Laboratory work (In-House and Prep for IDEXX) Venipuncture Catheter placement Pharmacy (Online and In-House) Patient recovery Monitoring of hospitalized animals Training of new support staff on patient handling skills (FearFree) and outlining the training curriculum Assist the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Medical Director in implementing protocols when necessary Organizing the flow of the schedule by conducting Huddles with the team and triaging the schedule Requirements: Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods Can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds Active Veterinary Technician License in Washington State Great Customer Service Experience/Skills Experience with Avimark (preferred) Experience in a Leadership Role (preferred) FearFree Certified (preferred) High School Diploma Reliable transportation Benefits: Your well-being matters to us.
