Property Management Experience in Accounts Payable and Receivables.

"MUST HAVE APPFOLIO SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE"

Rent Portland Homes is a Property Management Company primarily managing single-family homes seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills to join our team as an Accounts Payable and Receivables . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles for a Property Management Company, be proficient in using accounting software such as AppFolio or Property Management software, and have experience with journal entries.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the month-end closing process. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential for success in this role.

Job Description:

  • Process all accounts payable and receivable invoices and ensure accurate payments promptly.
  • Audit, review, and verify invoices.
  • Daily journal entries for accounts payable transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain accurate files and documentation within accounts payable.
  • Assist with the month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to resolve any payment issues or inquiries.

Skills:

  • Proficient in using accounting software such as AppFolio.
  • Property Management Software. Appfolio MUST HAVE.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting.

This position is a Full-Time Position Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
Medical Insurance Benefits are available.
Mileage is reimbursed for all company travel .55 cents per mile.
A clean driving record (you will need to provide MVR through DMV) and a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
