Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing the appointment calendar
- Greeting and checking in patients upon arrival
- Collecting patient information and updating electronic medical records
- Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries or concerns
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow
- Managing patient referrals and coordinating with specialists or other healthcare facilities as needed
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficiency in using phone systems and computer software for scheduling and record keeping
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
