RENAISSANCE VILLAGE is Hiring a Director of Community Relations Near Murrieta, CA

In accordance with established company policies and procedures, this position is expected to lead and direct all aspects of sales & marketing to include taking charge of sales & marketing efforts to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy goals with the expectation of exceeding monthly and annual goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks. Good physical health shall be verified by health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment.
  • Demonstrates freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months before or (7) days after employment.
  • Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process before initial presence in the facility.
  • Minimum of three years marketing, promotional, or event planning experience.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all services of Renaissance Village.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to speak and write effectively in English.
  • Must have essential computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have financial knowledge to maintain budgetary guidelines for the department.
  • Must have excellent customer service and follow-through.
  • Must be a strong team player and exhibit sound leadership skills.
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must function independently, work well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines, and exhibit maturity in judgment and sound decision-making.
  • Must be a role model to Renaissance Village employees in exhibiting a gracious, pleasant, outgoing, and caring attitude and interacting positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Must have strong commitment and adherence to company values, standards, and policies and implement same within the department.
  • Must adhere to confidentiality procedures to ensure that HIPAA and Renaissance Village standards are met or always exceeded.
  • Must follow established safety and infection control policies and must report all accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Must follow sound employment practices by adhering to Renaissance Village policies and Procedures, Renaissance Village House Standards, and Local, federal, and state regulations and employment laws.
  • Must have the ability to be flexible to ensure the department is covered at all times.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Directs all and marketing activities to meet always exceed budgeted occupancy goals at all times by:
    • Developing and implementing an aggressive, detailed, strategic, marketing and networking plan in conjunction with the community and company-wide initiatives and with approval of the Executive Director.
    • Developing and implementing marketing campaigns to support Quarterly Marketing Plans for meeting or exceeding budgeted occupancy goals.
    • Oversee marketing staff and ensure that they work as a team in their common objective to meet and exceed shared occupancy goals.
    • Initiating and coordinating tours for potential residents, families, or others to generate and close qualified leads.
    • Directing marketing support staff and providing oversight in their initiatives to generate and coordinate viable leads to accomplish team occupancy goals.
    • Directly responsible for ensuring all required marketing reports, statistics, and other information are completed and maintained in a computerized lead base system.
    • Directly responsible for overseeing networking within the community to maintain and develop referral contacts and potential qualified leads through educational seminars, networking functions, and community events, as well as by visiting competitors or designated professional referral sources as appropriate.
    • Initiating and overseeing the move-in procedure for new residents, including scheduling, completion of initial paperwork, financial arrangements, and orientation.
    • Initiating and coordinating special events or promotional activities by working collaboratively with other departments to market the community.
    • Meeting or exceeding Sales and Marketing Department expectations and standards and directing team to meet or exceed same.
    • Attending all provided training seminars, department meetings, and other meetings as requested.
    • Ensure suitability for community tours at all times through coordination with the housekeeping supervisor and other respective department heads (e.g., model rooms, common areas, activity rooms, dining rooms, et al)
    • Evaluating at a “satisfactory” or “good” level or above when assessed by a “secret shopper” during a phone or in-person shop.
  • Ensures smooth operation of the Sales and Marketing Department by:
    • Supervising concierge to include, but not limited to, hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary issues, coaching, counseling, and training.
    • Supervising and maintaining proper coverage of the marketing office and concierge desk as needed for operations and determined by the Executive Director.
    • Prioritizing and scheduling activities of the department to reach designated monthly, quarterly, and annual occupancy goals.
    • Requiring and encouraging “team sales” through open communication within the department so that all lead information is disclosed and fully utilized.
    • Maintain and monitor appropriate levels of marketing collaterals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

On a typical day, The Director of Community Relations will routinely be required to stop, carry, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, reach, drive, push, and pull. The Director of Community Relations will occasionally be required to lift overhead, lift to waist high, and lift to floor level. The Director of Community Relations will also be required to use fine motor and manual dexterity skills in writing, keyboarding, and grasping. The Director of Relations is also required to use a phone, and standard office equipment, including a computer, and operate vehicles.
