Renaissance Historic Exteriors is Hiring a Construction Estimator - Historic Buildings Near Belvidere, IL
Working Hours: 7am to 5pm.
Working Days: Monday thru Friday, Saturday as needed.
Key Results Area 1 - Assisting Commercial Sales Manager in Potential Projects
Performance Standards:
- Review/discuss and assist with selecting opportunities for bid.
- Schedule site visits, attend pre-bid meetings.
- Photo document, note complications, details of project.
- Quantify/take-offs of drawing sets, and details.
- Review/discuss/interpret design/spec data- and provide necessary RFI’s, etc.
- Provide material source data, and pricing as needed.
- Assist with actual bid document assembly, and/or delivery- as needed.
- Calculate the investment (bid) required to perform the scope of work.
- Provide valuable engineering options, if required.
- Assist/communicate with Production team at ‘hand-off.’
- Communicate ongoing progress with Commercial Sales Manager.
Key Results Area 2 - Commercial Sales & Marketing Coordination
Performance Standards:
- Prequalification process-provide data/assistance & support to owner, architect, G.C., etc. prior to project bid.
- Identify public bid candidates/opportunities.
- Prepare plans/specs for bid- source data, create physical print and spec data as necessary for bid processing.
- Manage bid scheduling- add data to bid calendar, support with updates, addendums, and RFI’s. Support Commercial Sales manager with updates on deadlines.
- Order/manage bid bonds.
- Support Business Development Specialist efforts, with additional resources, data, photos, etc.
Key Results Area 3 - Additional Support Areas
Performance Standards:
- Help identify 5-star clients, and Special communities/regions in the U.S. for pre-war historically significant homes and buildings.
- Identify Hurricane/Wind/Hail/Tornado Events and properties.
Key Results Area 4 - Roofing Operational Support
Performance Standards:
- Provide necessary feedback/assistance with production team, especially concerning Design/details/drawings.
- Submittal data review, project focus, warranty information, material data sourcing.
- Onsite quality control- as needed, especially as a specialty focus of design/interpretation.
