The Opportunity: As a Bartender in the Catering/Banquet Department, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences during various events, gatherings, and celebrations. Your exceptional mixology skills, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor will contribute to the overall success of our events and uphold our commitment to providing unparalleled service to our members and guests.

Duties and Functions:

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during events, adhering to club standards and recipes.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making personalized drink recommendations.
• Set up and maintain the bar area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the event.
• Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely delivery of beverages aligned with the event schedule.
• Create visually appealing garnishes and decorations for drinks, enhancing the overall presentation.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption, promote responsible drinking, and follow appropriate procedures for handling intoxicated guests.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently, maintaining a secure cash handling process.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and conducting regular stock rotations.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and disposal of glassware and bar equipment.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all beverages offered, including ingredients and potential allergens.

Qualification Standards:

• Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in upscale or catering environments.
• Extensive knowledge of various drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage presentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and provide recommendations.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong multitasking skills to handle various orders and requests simultaneously.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and the legal drinking age regulations.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages).
• TIPS certification will be required (training available)
