DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a full time Licensed School Based Clinician (LSW or LPC) to provide diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans and counseling services within a school-based setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide client intake and assessment services, including social history, mental health assessment, social, community and functional assessments.
• Contact and meet parents/caregivers of children who have been referred for behavioral health services for the purpose of intake, consent to treat and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations.
• Abide by Code of Conduct and Ethics, and all other RBH policy and procedures.
• Provide direct services to students including organizing and facilitating individual and group treatment activities, case management and outreach.
• Attend RBH administrative meetings to consult on ongoing cases, inform referral processes, or provide guidance on student referrals.
• Collaborate with school support personnel to select appropriate students to receive interventions.
• Be part of the support team to explore symptoms and appropriate interventions.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions for students who would benefit from crisis stabilization, brief-short-term psycho educational, suicide or homicidal assessments, or more long-term clinical supports to ensure students develop healthy habits.

SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum requirement Bachelors (Master’s preferred) degree in Social Work, or Counseling with a LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC in good standing in the state of Ohio
• Minimum valid Ohio Licensure as an LPC, LSW, LPHA or the ability to gain licensure within 6 months of employment.
• Two years of experience working with adults and/or minors aged 17 or younger with behavioral health needs - experience working in a public school system is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, systems and methods in family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, DSM-V diagnoses, and behavioral therapy.
• Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrating ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes, and abilities.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
• Requires written and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Bi-lingual candidates will be given preference.
