The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end users. What You Will Do: Build, manage, and performance tune SQL Server database systems of high performance, availability, and quality to handle application traffic Design and implement databases in accordance to information needs and views Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required Participate in on-call rotation with team Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) Assist in continuous deployment procedures Who You Are and What You Need: Proven working experience as a SQL Server Database administrator, preferably with high volume enterprise applications Strong understanding of SQL Server 2014 internal architectures, configuration and performance best practices, and interaction with underlying hardware to highly tune environments.
