Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your love for dance and inspire students of all ages. If you have a strong background in dance and enjoy working with students, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students of various age groups and skill levels
- Teach a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, creative movement, acro, and contemporary
- Demonstrate proper dance techniques and provide constructive feedback to students
- Choreograph dance routines for performances and competitions
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Manage class time effectively and ensure that all students are actively engaged
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance instruction
Skills:
- Strong background in dance, with expertise in multiple styles
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate dance techniques to students
- Experience working with students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies for maintaining a positive learning environment
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Understanding of childhood development principles as they relate to dance instruction
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or similar role is preferred
- Certification or degree in dance or a related field is a plus
