Remington Lodging & Hospitality is Hiring a Bartender Near Murrieta, CA

At Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, our Bartenders cultivate rejuvenating, memorable experiences through attention to detail, quality, and care. Are you ready to expand your career in an oasis where your contributions are recognized and appreciated—where your Vitality is cared for?

Bartenders will be expected to serve in a friendly and responsible manner, inherently protecting the establishment and guests by following safety, sanitation, and alcoholic beverage control policies. All employees are expected to maintain alcohol-serving venues for business, ensuring all items are available and replenished throughout the day. Employees will be expected to perform “clean-as-you-go” practices to uphold the physical appearance of the Bar and the surrounding areas. Employees should create and follow daily schedules for ideal staffing coverage. All Servers and Bartenders should strive to accomplish daily results by rotating assigned tasks, thus contributing to team effort.

Requirements:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepares alcohol-serving outlets for business, display menus, condiments, paper product, stemware, snacks, promotional product, signage, adequate alcohol stock, and ice, to set all staff members up for success.
  • Serve every guest with a warm welcome, use their name once established, maintain a genuine demeanor, and complete every interaction with sincerity.
  • Aware of protocol and policy in reacting to unique situations and dealing with an over-beveraged guest; what do in the event a guest needs to be “cut-off”.
  • Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.
  • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests' choices; identifying guests' special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting guest counts, operational changes, and guest patterns.
  • Serves orders by picking up and delivering guests' orders from multiple Food & Beverage outlets; delivering stock and condiments from service bars.
  • Responds to additional guest requests by inquiring of needs; sharing service details, resort information, amenity locations, classes, entertainment, events, etc.
  • Maintains cleanliness of their surroundings by bussing, removing beverage cups when completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to spills or other special needs.
  • Communicate effectively by alerting management and team of any pertinent information.
  • Concludes guest experience by acknowledging their business; thanking, and inviting guests to return.
  • Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing and delivering bill; accepting and processing payments correctly; returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet guests entering food & beverage establishments
  • Directs and educates guests regarding food & beverage, spa offerings, locations, amenities, & services
  • Anticipates needs and resolves guest complaints in a pleasant and tactful manner
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workplace
  • Follows proper portion control
  • Adheres to all kitchen and food & beverage SOPs
  • Responsible for completing all opening and closing procedures for the position
  • Delivers ice, paper goods, utensils, cups and lids, food & beverage products from storage areas to business outlets as required for the day's business and monitor all are stocked throughout the day
  • Prepare, blend, pour, garnish, and serve beverages as ordered
  • Use POS system to accurately process guest transactions, receive payments, and issue receipts
  • Identify prices of food & beverage goods, admission, and services offered
  • Performs and works directly with high volume of guests
  • Ensures complete guest satisfaction
  • Maintain standards by keeping the location clean, stocked, presentable, and welcoming at all times
  • Maintain awareness of over-serving and the importance ensuring guest is wearing an alcohol wristband
  • Follow the established work schedule (subject to change daily)
  • Controls the flow and demands of guests
  • Ensures timely and accurate delivery of food & beverage orders
  • Clear, and clean tables at the bar, sweep, clean spills, and align chairs as needed
  • Maintain bar condiments by consistently refilling napkins, straws, cups, and lids
  • Maintain ice bins and backup ice cooler
  • Prep and replenish fruit and vegetable garnish
  • Restock beer, wine, mixers, and liquor throughout the day
  • Polish and restock stemware
  • Assist Poolside servers making drink orders as needed
  • Restock food & beverage and paper products from storage areas as required for the day's business and monitor all are stocked throughout the day

Physical Requirements:

  • 3 year bartending experience preferred.
  • 2 year in Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch.
  • Lift approximately fifty (50) pounds of equipment or supplies using safe lifting techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing.
  • Direct evacuations in an emergency.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and other office equipment as needed.
