Remedy Behavioral Health is seeking a driven individual to serve as a Medical Data Entry Specialist in Florence, AL.

Under the direction of the Provider, Medical Data Entry Specialists record exam findings and maintain health records during patient encounters by preparing the daily schedule, lab/chart review, medication reconciliation, obtain vitals, obtain/review medical records (rarely), enter information into the EMR, send completed notes to facilities, as well as any additional tasks set forth by the supervising provider.

Essential Job Duties

• Under the direction of the Physician or Provider, update the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR), documenting individual patient exams for physicians to review and sign off
• Assist with completion of forms and documents as directed by the Physician
• Ensuring HIPAA Compliance by protecting patient confidentiality and practice operations by maintaining information confidentiality
• Other tasks as assigned by the provider

Other Skills/Abilities

• Clinical or patient care experience preferred
• Ability to anticipate the needs of their assigned provider over time
• Attention to detail, data entry, computer skills
• Exemplary time management
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• A strong medical terminology background is a plus
• Must be fully Covid-19 Vaccinated
