Remedi8 is hiring Commercial Door Technicians to perform inspections, repairs and installations of commercial fire/smoke doors, frames, and hardware within existing hospitals nationwide. This position is full-time, year-round work.

Experience:

• 1 years of finish carpentry experience
• Plus, but not required, previous construction, painting, caulking, insulation, and drywall finish work

Preferred Skills:

• Commercial door/hardware repair and installation
• Understanding of computers and computer software (Microsoft Office)
• Experience in reading blue prints/schematics
• Safety protocol (Osha 10)

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Install/Repair/Inspect fire door frames, doors, locksets, exit devices, closers, and related hardware to ensure proper operation
• Read/understand construction drawings to locate and identify scope of work
• Inspect firestop barriers with high attention to detail per NFPA requirements and document inspection results using a tablet
• Ensure professional appearance and respectful interactions with all customers, staff, and general public
• Assist with other scopes as needed

Requirements:

• Flexible with schedule changes - some evening, night or weekend shifts based on client requests
• Submit a TB test, vaccination blood tests & vaccinations (Flu, MMR, Varicella, etc.)
• Valid Drivers License and be eligible to rent a vehicle (21 years old)
• Must be able to travel nationwide on a 10 day on, 4 off rotation if asked
• Able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion
