Experienced VP of Treasury to establish infrastructure and build a high-performing team. This position will oversee all Treasury Operations which includes responsibility for cash forecasting, managing liquidity, coordinating establishment of funding sources, interpreting structured finance legal agreements, and managing control processes for daily cash movements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage firmwide liquidity through coordination with capital providers, including relationships with warehouse lenders, securitization partners, and equity capital providers
  • Build, oversee and supervise a high-performing treasury operations teamof 2-3 in the near to medium-term
  • Develop and refine cash forecasting models to produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasts in coordination with internal and external stakeholders, providing strong visibility and reporting of forward capital needs
  • Manage the optimization of funding sources by establishing models within Reliant’s systems which will maximize returns by systematically determining funding source while maintaining sufficient liquidity
  • Monitor and analyze market conditions, interest rate trends, and regulatory developments to inform decision-making and mitigate financial risks
  • Partner with the CFO, Executives, and other team members to lead the development and implementation of ALCO policies, procedures, and reporting
  • Guide the treasury team to identify and resolve issues, including streamlining workflows through automation, system integration / optimization, and implementing robust controls and procedures to safeguard assets, mitigate fraud risks, and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate efforts with internal teams, including Credit, Legal, Technology, Data Analytics, Operations, Construction, and Finance, to seamlessly manage the origination and draw processes, ensuring a seamless customer experience and efficient deployment of capital
  • Perform detailed, loan-level reconciliations between the records of debt providers, subservicers, banks, and Reliant systems
  • Establish and manage key banking relationships, establishing trust and confidence with bank partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of treasury operations experience inside a regulated financial institution
  • Understanding of and experience with structured finance and securitizations
  • Ability to understand and apply terms from legal agreements into a cash forecasting model
  • Understanding of theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts as well as techniques including discounted cash flow analysis, ROE, economic capital, transfer pricing, ALM, interest rate risk models, and stress testing
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate well with others in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Cash forecasting / modeling, advanced Excel skills, ability to work effectively with third-party treasury management platforms, warehouse line platforms, and accounting platforms (Sage Intacct)
