Reliance Private Label Supplements is Hiring a Manufacturing Lead Near Edison, NJ

Reliance Vitamin is a high growth consumer products company in the very “on trend” natural and organic space, and is comprised of three divisions:

  • Private Labeling of premium branded and private label products for various companies/retailers using 450 stock products and differentiating with over 50 Patented and Trademarked raw materials.
  • Contract Manufacturing of premium powders, tablets and capsules differentiating with over 50 patented and trademarked raw materials, specializing in probiotics and plant proteins. Customer base is branded, domestic and international companies.

 Manufacturing Lead Position Summary:

Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities of the Manufacturing Department that include Compounding, Blending, Encapsulation and Tablet Compression. This position is responsible for the performance of these departments and functions.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in developing schedules to meet customer demand and on-time shipping requirements.
  • Assist in developing adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, labor efficiency, material efficiency, process engineering effectiveness, and human capital utilization.
  • Reviews performance against operating plans, master schedule and standards.
  • Fully utilizes Reliance operating systems for production reporting, capacity planning and analytical functions. Works with systems teams to enhance and expand system capabilities for production/manufacturing.
  • Assist in developing plans for higher levels of efficiency in the manufacturing areas. Enhances and optimizes all processes.
  • Directs and appraises the performance of units immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination of all activities.
  • Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and makes recommendations for their compensation.
  • Coordinates activities of the manufacturing department with those of other departments. Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination and collaboration.
  • Provides orientation and on the job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position is defined and understood.
  • Oversees and enforces Reliance compliance with all cGMPs, safety and regulatory requirements. Develops creative solutions to meet GMPS’s when necessary by using rational.
  • Ensures delivery times are within established expectations.
  • Develops procedures for maximizing production yields.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent in Process Engineering or Production Management, or related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years prior experience with successful Manufacturing/Packaging Companies.
  • Prior responsibility in managing multi-shift manufacturing operations.
  • Well-developed management skills – principles and people.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of operating systems and capabilities.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Participative management style – team player.
  • Hands-on mentality. Ability to “role up sleeves and dig in”.
  • Ability to establish credibility, decisive and able to focus on priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance all business considerations on a day to day basis.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems (mass customization)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a growing, dynamic environment.
