Sanitation DepartmentWe are looking for General Laborers / Sanitation workers for City Of Industry.
Sanitation Workers
play a significant role in the Food industry by cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas in food processing facilities. They are responsible for handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitizers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling and storing the chemicals, and managing chemical accidents.
Sanitation Workers will work alone or with a team but collaborate extensively with other department staff to ensure that food safety and workspace cleanliness are being implemented.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Reading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals they will be using
  • Completing forms by marking check boxes, recording numerical information or entering words, phrases, sentences or texts of a paragraph or more.
  • Communicating to employees, quality assurance personnel, and the Management staff.
  • Incorporating special or rotational cleaning duties into their daily schedules, for specialized cleaning or sanitation processes that might not occur every day
  • Other duties/tasks assigned as needed.
A Sanitation Worker in a food processing plant will be expected to:
  • Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
  • Promote health and safety in the workplace
  • Display excellent work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization.
  • Understand the Standard Operating Procedures and Inspection requirements
  • Ensure quality control and efficient workflow
  • Display positive leadership
Work Schedule is 2nd shift Monday - Friday 230p - 1030p must be available saturdays and overtime if needed. Must have Slip Resistant shoes/ boots
