SummaryThe HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician is the first step in becoming a service technician. You will be responsible for performing routine Maintenance checks on HVAC equipment with further training to promote from within.
Essential Functions

• Responsible for performing maintenances in an efficient manner.
• Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
• Willingness to learn and be teachable.
• Actively involved in learning processes in:
• Performing Maintenances on Various Residential equipment
• At times assisting other Team Members in the installation of compressors, Evaporator coils and various jobs.
• Be able to work independently on your own in a timely manner.
• Completion of daily assignments and checklist for maintenances assigned.
• Interact with Customers in a positive way.
• Available to work occasional Saturdays or Sundays.

• Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
• Work in and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• EPA Certification required
• 1-2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry as an apprentice
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Technical and mechanical competence
• Must pass MVR screening and maintain a good driving record.
• Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.

Physical Activities & Requirements

• Physical Strength: Walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, reaching (including overhead), climbing ladders/stairs and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Environment: Work in varying temperatures including non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Schedule: Must be available to work nights and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
• Visual Abilities: Must be able to correctly differentiate between colors
• Other: Must be proficient in the use of smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices
