Reliable Carriers is Hiring a DOT Safety and HR Coordinator (FT) Near Canton, MI
We’re seeking a DOT Safety and HR Coordinator to join our growing team, working out of our headquarters location in Canton, MI. Reliable Carriers is North America’s largest exotic, collector, and classic car transport company. Serving the worlds largest automotive brands since 1960.
About the Role:
This dynamic individual reports to our Director of Safety, and is responsible for working within our safety department to maintain Reliable’s DOT Compliance and safety program for our fleet of 350 Drivers.
Responsibilities:
- Create, update and maintain driver qualification files (includes CDL's, Medical certificates, MVR's, New hire forms, Annual Reviews, Employment Verifications, etc).
- Administer , track, and monitor compliance for all safety training courses and follow up when necessary.
- Administer the driver random drug and alcohol testing program.
- Ensure DOT drug/alcohol program is compliant with regulations.
- Manage annual Clearinghouse Queries.
- Manage & maintain TWIC and IACSSP.
- Routinely audit & update all system data, ensuring complete accuracy and upkeep. Includes input and upkeep of driver, equipment info, device data, etc.
- Assist the Director of Safety with HR responsibilities such as health benefits, wellness initiative, FMLA, STD & LTD, workman’s comp, and additional tasks as needed.
- Coordinate the administrative work relating to workplace injuries and illness occurrences.
- Directly execute administrative tasks as necessary to promote the timely execution of any matters pertaining to driver safety and vehicle assets or their related programs (HOS logs, fuel; permitting; registration & titling; etc).
Requirements:
- Fleet safety background preferred.
- This individual must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent people skills.
- Ability to take on a variety of tasks and carry them out until completion.
- Prior experience within the Transportation Industry; ability to conduct trainings, and manage driver operations in accordance with FMCSA and DOT standards and regulation.
