Relentless Academy is Hiring a S.M.A.R.T. Summer Program Support Staff (Part-Time) Near Minneapolis, MN

S.M.A.R.T. Summer Program Instructors (Part-time)
Salary: $17-$20/hour, Hours: 30 hours/week, 12:00pm-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) Schedule may vary based on business needs.

Relentless Academy is a 501c(3) nonprofit that provides affordable and accessible S.M.A.R.T. (Science, Math, Art, Reading, Technology) programming which includes music and financial literacy instruction for underserved youth in grades 1-8 beginning June 17, 2024 - August 8, 2024. Our mission is to prepare the next generation of leaders for S.M.A.R.T. proficiency to close the academic achievement and wealth gap among families in underserved communities. In this part-time position you will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities

- Facilitating or leading STEM learning and outdoor activities.

- Innovatively engaging students, aligning with MN Standards, by employing creative teaching methods.

- Adhering to COVID-19 and other safety protocols.

- Working approximately 30 hours weekly.

- Collaborating with colleagues to plan culturally inclusive and age-appropriate activities.

- Communicating space concerns or program needs to the Program Manager/Director.

- Modeling and guiding youth to understand Relentless Academy's goals.

- Documenting medical incidents and completing necessary paperwork.

- Addressing child concerns and family needs with program management.

- Adhering to Relentless Academy's guidelines and policies.

- Demonstrating experience with diverse staff and families.

- Ensuring regular attendance and punctuality, working Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm-5:00 pm.

-Must be comfortable with using technology such as computers, laptops, Chromebook, ipads or any digital device for a prolonged period of time.

- Possessing a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (preferred).

- Maintaining site cleanliness, organization, and COVID-19 protocols.

- Seeking assistance from the Camp Program Director and/or Executive Director when needed.

- Attending all required trainings, meetings, orientations, and the end-of-summer showcase on Thursday, August 8, from 8:30 am-7:30 pm.

Relationships:

This role reports to the Program Manager/Director and involves regular interaction with camp program staff, campers, and parents from diverse backgrounds.

Work Conditions:

- Leading and participating in various camp activities, including outdoor pursuits.

- Capability to carry loads up to 60 pounds.

- Performing essential program support activities, including reaching, crouching, kneeling, and using technology for extended periods.

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods.
