The Production Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the organization's output, quality, and cost goals. Collects product data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze documents and diagram production processes. Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve issues. Recommend changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources, including labor, energy, and raw material.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and analyze, eliminating inefficiencies and non-value steps.
  • Developing, scoping, and process mapping of new equipment, initiatives, and projects
  • Collaborating with technical experts, other functions, and sites to create streamlined solutions.
  • Creating learning programs and coaching and training technicians
  • Creating and improving procedural standards to enable us to achieve the performance targets for the production line.
  • Standardizing Theoretical design against the actual performance of processing equipment
  • Understanding and working with state-of-the-art equipment that supports precious metals recovery.
  • Ability to problem solves and collaborate in teams.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn new skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal time management, and analytical skills
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment with technicians and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
  • BS in Engineering required, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Specifically: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to comply and utilize PPE based on work and work area.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to perform work during prolonged periods of standing.
  • Works in a warehouse environment, including dust and elevated noise environment.
