Relativity Space is Hiring a Senior DEI Program Manager Near Long Beach, CA

Company Overview:

At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: to build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R and to become America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both contribute to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. This journey begins right here on Earth – where we design, build, and fly rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit. Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, fulfills the growing demand for launch capacity, thanks to our iterative approach that accelerates design, testing, and development while minimizing costs. Our groundbreaking research and development in 3D printing pushes the boundaries of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Your journey with us is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology, additive manufacturing, and the human experience alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. Join us on this extraordinary journey as we work together to transform our vision into reality.

Team:

The Inclusion team is committed to cultivating an environment where every employee can thrive and do their best work. We spearhead developing and implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs company-wide, fostering awareness among our employees and continually measuring our progress towards our objectives. At Relativity, we strive to be a beacon of inclusion, valuing diverse voices and perspectives. By joining us, you're committing to enhancing our culture of inclusivity and respect.

What you’ll do:

As the Senior DEI Program Manager, you'll be central to fostering an inclusive culture, driving equitable practices, and promoting diversity at all levels of the organization. You’ll collaborate effectively across various teams, leadership levels, and external parties.

This role requires a high level of expertise in program management, strategic leadership, and a flexible and agile approach. You will report to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and Inclusion. You will be required on-site at our Long Beach facility 2-3 times a week with occasional trips to Stennis Space Center (Mississippi) and Cape Canavaral.

  • Cultural Transformation: Partner collaboratively with stakeholders to drive initiatives that foster an inclusive and conscious environment throughout the organization.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Serve as the principal leader of our ERG program, provide guidance and support, fostering their growth, impact, and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Data & Insights: Conduct data analysis that guides our actions and strategic priorities related to ERGs and inclusion and oversee tracking and reporting metrics that measure the impact of our programs on the business.
  • Outreach & Engagement: Identify and build relationships within the broader community and identify external partners and organizations that deliver impact and support our DEI objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Talent Acquisition, PBPs, Learning and Development, and Brand and Communications to integrate and amplify DEI and ERG programs.
  • Advisory & Support: Position yourself as a beacon of guidance on DEI matters, ensuring a nurturing environment for all employees.

What you need to know:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in DEI and 5 years in a People/Human Resources or Employee Relations role.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in developing, designing, and delivering projects and initiatives.
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work in tandem with various teams and senior leadership, translating strategy into actionable plans.
  • Thought leadership: Strong understanding of DEI social issues and their impact on our employees, relevant laws and regulations and best practices.
  • Communication: Strong capability to drive inclusion-related messages throughout an organization, ensuring alignment at all levels.
  • Engagement: Past experience in community engagement, public outreach, and liaising with external diversity organizations is essential.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring and reporting on DEI metrics and outcomes.
  • Recruitment: Experience in aligning DEI efforts with talent acquisition teams.
