Reischling Press is Hiring a Digital press operator Near Rochester, NY
Position Summary :
As level I press operator for RPI, you will be involved in the daily print processes in the photo product manufacturing production lines.
A level I press operator is responsible for operation of digital presses and ensuring quality color output, by following proper production procedures.
Job Requirements
- Performs routine printing procedures on the digital presses.
- Ability to follow directions and instructions provided by Press Manager
- Review job orders to determine quantities to be printed, paper specifications, colors and special printing instructions for customers.
- Digital Press Operator will set up and operate the printer in the most efficient manner, adhering to established processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot, and resolve basic machine issues Notify leads / supervisors of any issues (machine, stock or service) that negatively affects operations of equipment or jeopardizes due times
- Perform quality control procedures to prevent privacy violations
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Requirements :
- Must have experience operating HP Indigo Digital Printers
- Konica, Minolta digital press experience a plus
- High school or GED
- Previous digital press industry experience a plus
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and possess excellent organizational skills. Must also be able to read, write and regurgitate, safety quality and productivity procedures when asked or when is obligated by job duties.
- Flexibility is required, and applicant must be able to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedules.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work (reliable is not, bus line, bike or walking long distances)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more unassisted
- Frequent standing and walking as well as occasionally stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching
- Must be able to follow directions, and also be able to read, write and regurgitate safety, quality and productivity metrics when asked or as required by job.
