Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 / hour
Description
The Airport Ambassador is the liaison between the airport commercial operations and the companies that do business at Fairbanks International Airport. Examples are Taxis, Shuttles, Tour Busses, and Delivery Trucks. The Ambassador instructs, educates, informs, and directs operators in where/how to park, and documents issues that need follow-up with the company owners. The Ambassador should be perceived as someone that is there to help and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and client. They perform a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth operation of the facility, while delivering service that exceeds our customer/client's expectations. The Ambassador works closely with fellow team members and the Operations Manager to ensure that cleanliness as well as safety standards are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Professional appearance and work ethics.
- Be familiar with all lots and the requirements for the use of each.
- Learn the procedures for traffic flow for Taxis, Shuttles, Tour Busses, and Delivery Trucks.
- Must be able to communicate proper procedures to those using the facility.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, or concerns.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager.
- Always communicate professionally with guests, client, and teammates.
- Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Reliable transportation is a plus.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 18 years of age.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to verbally communicate with guests.
- Superior people interaction skills.
- Previous customer service experience, preferred.
