Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator and Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team at Reich Construction LLC.

This role is crucial in helping us accurately assess project costs and prepare compelling proposals that showcase our capabilities and expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively convey our value proposition to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct detailed cost estimations for construction projects, including materials, labor, and other relevant expenses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Analyze project specifications and blueprints to understand project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals tailored to the specific needs of each client.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and project information.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in proposals.
  • Assist in project budgeting and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as needed.
  • This is a full time position working in our offices.

Qualifications :

  • 5 to 10 years experience with pre-engineered steel buildings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in pre-engineered steel construction estimation and proposal development, preferably in the design-build industry.
  • Proficiency in construction estimation software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, RSMeans).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design and construction practices are a plus.
