Rehabilitation Associates is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Near Bridgeport, CT

Rehabilitation Associates of Connecticut Birth to Three program is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and energetic BCBA/LBA-CT to provide early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) services to children and their families. Our goal is to assist families with helping their children achieve maximum potential in day-to-day living.

ABC intervention, our autism specific program, provides trans-disciplinary, EIBI services, including behaviorally-based skill acquisition and behavior reduction techniques based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We provide in-home services using the Early Start Denver Model with parent coaching. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is assigned to families receiving services in ABC Intervention, and is an integral part of the EIBI team: program development and review, parent training, behavior support plans, and staff supervision. ABC Intervention responds to the individual needs of each child and family by tailoring child specific programs in the areas of communication, social, adaptive and behavioral skills etc. in order for each child and family to achieve their goals.

BCBA Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home evaluations, write evaluation reports, and create treatment plans
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, write positive behavior support plans, and provide ongoing plan updates/reports
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with direct therapists including modifying behavior plans and program maintenance
  • Train and supervise direct therapists
  • Provide parent coaching and monitor the consistent implementation of procedures by parents
  • Collaborate with families, school staff, outside therapists, and the entire ABA team to ensure program consistency

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst Connecticut
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills amongst the therapy team, with families, school personnel, and other therapy providers
  • Strong problem-solving skills
