Regulus Group is Hiring a Technical Lead Safety Engineer Near Washington, DC

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead safety risk assessments, to include facilitating Safety Risk Management Panels, and development of documentation required to support changes to NAS systems or operational procedures
  • Develop safety products conforming to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety standards supporting the deployment capabilities by Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) world-wide
  • Develop Safety Risk Management Documents (SRMDs) conforming to the policies of the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Office of Safety through its Safety Management System (SMS) Manual and Safety Risk Management Guide for Systems Acquisition (SRMGSA)
  • Coordinate and lead tasking, develop and review quality, on-time deliverables, make identifiable contributions to customer success
  • Oversee and influence project direction and ensure use of technical best practices
  • Contribute effectively to working groups as an indispensable team member through oral and written communication
  • Develop cooperative working relationships, anticipate customer needs, and problem solve on their behalf
  • Contribute to a positive, diverse, and inclusive work environment and coach, support, and train staff on technical competencies
  • Contribute technical or domain expertise to proposal or capture activities and assist in capturing new opportunities with current customers and organizations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering with an emphasis on Safety Engineering. Advanced technical degrees are desired.
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • General knowledge of Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) initiatives and their potential transformation of current NAS operations
  • Experience with computer systems, systems engineering design products, document processing, spreadsheets, engineering analysis tools, and presentation development applications
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to present technical information to large and diverse technical audiences
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.
