Job Description:
At Regions, the Fraud Strategy Origination Manager develops and enhances strategy for fraud prevention, investigation processes and customer authentication processes for various types of fraud.
Primary Responsibilities
Develops and enhances fraud prevention and investigation processes and customer authentication processes for various types of fraud
Interfaces with lines of business to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Creates process flows, road maps, risk thresholds, procedures and operational readiness items for bank fraud agents
Establishes operational procedures to manage risk and apply decision strategies
Identifies opportunities to improve operations through data analytics in partnership with the Fraud Analytics team
Develops KPIs, creates, and disseminates reports pertaining to the field operations process
Researches, develops and presents findings for fraud operational enhancements to senior management
Make recommendations and provides updates to analytical and executive business audiences
Demonstrates full knowledge of the company, serving the bank as a subject matter expert in the area of fraud strategy
Provide guidance to team members will less experience
Manages a team of fraud analysts
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics, economics, or related quantitative discipline
Ten (10) years of experience in fraud or risk management; experience in analytics and modeling or relevant area
Preferences
Master’s in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
Skills and Competencies
Effective coaching, mentoring and talent development skills; ability to identify development areas, provide sound feedback, and guide employees to action
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Proficient in SAS/SQL, MS Office, programming languages (e.g. Python, R), analytical tools (Enterprise Miner, Knowledge Studio, H2O, Tableau) and big data tools (e.g. Hadoop HDFS/YARN, Kafka, Hive, Spark)
Extremely detail oriented with intellectual curiosity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $153,903.12 USD
Median: $198,502.50 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
