JOB SUMMARY:The summer Marketing Intern will be responsible for conducting market and consumer research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges regarding the PipeSafe Protection Plan. The incumbent will assist developing a branding strategy for PipeSafe and assist with outreach activities to increase consumer engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct market and consumer research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in commercial plumbing and water specialty industry.Analyze research findings and provide insights to guide the development of a comprehensive branding strategy. Assist in the development of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to effectively communicate the benefits of PipeSafe.Work with the Sr. Communications specialist to manage and update social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) to engage with our audience, share relevant content, and promote our services.Collaborate with the Communications team to brainstorm and implement creative marketing campaigns and strategies to increase awareness of PipeSafe.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.Perform market research to identify new trends, emerging technologies, and potential outreach opportunities to enhance our marketing efforts.JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.Strong understanding of marketing principles, market research techniques, and branding strategies.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative flair for content creation.Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools.Ability to conduct thorough market research and analyze data effectively.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn and contribute innovative ideas.Passion for environmental sustainability and interest in the water utility industry is a plus.
