We are hiring a security officer to ensure the protection of our property and assets by monitoring the environment for signs of danger or irregularities. As a security officer, you will maintain security procedures, inspect the premises and monitor operations during your shift. To succeed as a security officer, you should have good decision-making skills, as you will be responsible for taking action in emergency situations. You will also be required to enforce our company’s policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our employees and visitors. Some knowledge about current laws and regulations is needed but previous work experience is not.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol areas to ensure safety and security of the premises.
• Search persons, vehicle, buildings, ensure prohibited items are not present and report them.
• Deal with customer complaints and incidents (fights, theft etc.).
• Investigate suspicious behavior and report to the authorities.
• Supervise other security guards.
• Maintain security equipment and systems.
• Check for fire hazards (e.g. broken extinguishers) or other fire risks (e.g. blocked fire exits or excess flammable materials).
• Record details of any incidents or potential threats (voice recordings are acceptable) .
• Monitor entrance and exit points for suspicious behavior and prevent unauthorized people from entering secure areas.
• Report any instances of unsafe conditions or inappropriate behavior to supervisors.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean and maintained safely.
• Ensure that all documents are properly filed away in case an audit is conducted.

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
