JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:High school graduate or equivalent.Successful completion of approved EMT IV / Advanced EMT program.Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.

EXPERIENCE:Six (6) months experience as EMT-IV preferred.Must successfully complete unit specific competency.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:EMT-IV / Advanced EMT approved by State of Tennessee.Basic Life Support Certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Exposure to infectious agents; frequent walking and standing; lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies.Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects.(May be further defined as "with or without assistance.")
