Regional Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Branch Manager (FT) Near Hammond, IN

Position Summary
Guide and manage the branch office in providing quality consultative sales and service to members in account transactions, products and services. Solve branch and member problems within established policies and guidelines. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained team, maintaining effective team relations.
  • Assist in the selection of qualified applicants for vacancies, ensuring that the credit union is adequately staffed with competent team members.
  • Schedule and give performance reviews and recommend salary adjustments.
  • Apply policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
  • Evaluate the sales and service job performance for each front-line branch team member to ensure quality of work and service to members.
  • Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, teller and personal and branch sales goals, and new accounts.
  • Monitor key products and sales within branch to ensure sound business practices and a high quality of service for members.
  • Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis. Ensure the team receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures.
  • Schedule team members to ensure efficient branch operations.
  • Direct and coach the Teller Supervisor to support the branch operations and team management to ensure sales and service standards are met.
  • Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
  • Assist team and members in solving complex account problems and resolving member complaints.
  • Create and maintain a sales environment within the branch. Train team to maximize opportunities to sell products.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of team performance standards.
  • Design a development and training plan for each direct report to include coaching, motivation and support in conjunction with the Teller Supervisor.
  • Communicate properly with all team members to ensure positive and clear understanding of credit union goals and direction.
  • Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure branch growth to meet established goals defined by the Board of Directors.
  • Monitor and process online loan and membership applications.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Minimum High school education or equivalent.
  • 2 year management experience.
  • 2 years general banking experience.
  • 1 - 2 years of consumer loan processing experience.
  • Successful record in creating a sales culture, achieving established goals and coaching team to improve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and develop a team environment.
  • Ability to work through problems by listening, thinking through all options, and responding appropriately.
  • Consultative skills to identify a member’s financial needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office products.
  • Bilingual-Spanish speaking preferred. 
Location
  • Primarily Hammond Branch. Requirement to travel to all branches.
