Under the direction of a physician, treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager of a clinic.
Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program and typically requires certification in the field. Minimum one years experience in athletic training/sports training.
