Regional Care Network is looking for a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant at a healthcare facility located in Columbia, MD

Pay Rate: $19.00-28.50 per hour.

  • Full Time/Part Time/Per-Diem
  • Health Insurance

Responsibilities of the Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)

  • Record a resident’s medical history accurately.
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds.
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
  • Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.

Requirements:

  • A valid Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) Certificate in MD.
  • Current Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification from Maryland.
  • 1 year of LTC Experience, SNF experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.

Pay and Compensation:

You’ll earn a base hourly rate plus periodic bonuses ranging in amounts based on facility demand.

Additional compensation includes:

  • 1.5X Holiday Pay
  • 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
