We love our customers!

Our customers are small business shops throughout the Chicagoland area. Our products are auto parts that are commonly replaced, such as wiper blades, oil filters, light bulbs, and fluids that go into a vehicle.

The day starts by reviewing the pre-planned route of client visits, which is a mix of deliveries and order taking. Routes originate from the Merrillville Indiana warehouse and clients are located in the metropolitan Chicagoland and NW Indiana. Throughout the day, drive to each client site, and provide a friendly, knowledgeable, customer service experience when interacting with customers and delivering products.

Each Day:

• Review the route and planning for the day
• Reviewing the orders that will be delivered each day, checking for accuracy
• Loading the delivery vehicle with the orders
• Driving to each stop on the route, interacting with customers, delivering products
• For deliveries, verifying the delivered parts to the invoice, collecting payments on invoices. and light restocking at the customer site.
• For order taking, accurately recording any items needed and answering questions for the customer about products and availability.

In the warehouse, assist with the restocking of inventory. Help clients to maintain their inventories in an organized manner, share information about new products and build long term relationships with the customer's.

We typically work Monday through Friday. This is generally a 15-25 hour a week position.

Position Responsibilities:

Drive company vehicle to customers (Auto Repair Shops), taking orders, maintaining inventories at the client site, delivering materials to the client, including the loading and unloading.

• Maintain a safe driving and working environment. Requires a valid US drivers license and maintaining a clear driving record.
• Provide great customer service. Be friendly, be a proactive problem solving partner, take products to the customer preferred drop off area, restock their shelves if asked and verify the supplies to the invoice for the customer.
• Receive payments on invoices. Maintain accurate and safe keeping of funds received and invoiced transactions.
• Excellent communication (speaking, listening, understanding) and decision-making skills.
• Pickup returned product from customers. Occasionally pickup inventory from suppliers and deliver to the warehouse. At all times careful handling of the products.
• Ability to lift, load and deliver products.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the business needs. Deliveries and orders are Monday through Friday durning the day.
• Maintain a distribution log or tracking system to record all stops/deliveries/pickups made throughout the day
• Inspecting, protecting and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, buildings and people

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
