Regina Health Center is Hiring a Director of Admissions Near Richfield, OH

REGINA HEALTH CENTER is a CMS FIVE STAR rated mission-based skilled nursing facility of excellence! Regina Health Center is located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio and we are currently seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to join our outstanding leadership team! The Director of Admissions receives and responds to all inquiries and referrals for admission to Regina Health Center’s assisted living, skilled rehab, and long-term skilled nursing care, and is responsible for supporting all pre-admission, admission, and follow-up processes. Responsibilities include checking insurance, evaluating medical and financial criteria, and obtaining pre-certification prior to admission. Communicates with hospital and facility discharge planners, and collaborates with the Directors of Nursing to determine appropriate levels of care and placement. The Director of Admissions will serve as resource to residents, congregations, and families for questions regarding health insurance, Medicare & Medicaid processes, durable power of attorney & guardianship issues. Responsible for census development and continued relationships within the community and participating religious congregations to support the mission and values of Regina Health Center.

Job Responsibilities

As an experienced Director of Admissions, you will work in collaboration with the Directors of Nursing and Marketing and is responsible for the following:

  • Generating admissions activity to meet and exceed census budget.
  • Understanding insurances and managed care to appropriately place patients.
  • Conduct tours of facility with potential residents and their family members
  • Completing and processing admission paperwork and reporting.
  • Assign room numbers to residents in consultation with the nursing department and administration.
  • Greet and escort residents to their assigned units.
  • Follow admission, transfer, and discharge policies and procedures.
  • Keep resident's information accurate and confidential.
  • Notify appropriate departments of admission.
  • Explain facility philosophy, policies, and procedures to potential and new residents and their Representatives.
  • Complete admission paperwork with resident and/or resident's representatives.

Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience working in long-term care admissions and be familiar with Medicare/Medicaid processes, and HENS, PASRR, and Point Click Care software.
  • Must have 2 years related Experience, and/or education training in healthcare admissions.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated with have excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and decisions making abilities, and the ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team.
