Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Responsibilities:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician

- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature

- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans

- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing

- Assist with wound care and dressing changes

- Provide acute pain management as needed

Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in NH

- Proficient in infectious disease care protocols

- Experience with spinal tap procedures and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is a plus

- Strong knowledge of medical systems and electronic medical records (EMR)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

- Knowledge of specimen collection processing procedures

- Familiarity with occupational health and trauma medicine
