We have an opening for a Summer Intern within our Manufacturing Engineering Department.

As the Summer Intern your focus will be to:

• Assist with implementation of new thread rolling machine:
  • Evaluate tooling dies on hand and dies needed for product.
  • Assist with layout for product flow and machine placement.
  • Help with documenting work instructions.
• Assist with Screw Polishing:
  • Document and track production stages as we move from Black Oxide coating to polished and oiled.
  • Document best practice for storage of polished products.
  • Assist in evaluation of removal of old equipment and tooling.
• Other possible exposure:
  • Induction heat treat process and documentation (set-up and run recipes).
  • ERP system reviews and router edits.
  • General manufacturing involvement with Turning, Milling, and Grinding.
    • Tooling and tooling life.
    • Set-up and production run procedures.
    • Geometry and part challenges.
    • Tool holding and part fixturing.
  • In process prints print generation and changes (Solidworks).
  • Manufacturing cycle time studies.

Education

Completion and acceptance of program between company and educational institute is mandatory prior to applying.
