Responsibilities
- Perform startup / shut down procedures at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Rotate job responsibilities within shoe department.
- Select and hang appropriate parts on the automatic conveying system.
- Load / unload parts from the automatic conveying system.
- Visual inspection of work to ensure company quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work are per 6s guidelines.
- Ability to fill out departmental checklists.
- Ability to operate tumble blasting equipment.
- Accurate stocking of various shoe sizes.
Experience and Skill Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent education and work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
- Detail oriented with time management skills.
- Ability to document and record basic information.
- Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements :
- A 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday).
- Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds at a time, including up to 50 pounds with assistance.
