**Personal Care Assistant**

*Duties:** -

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities

- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately

- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors

- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed - Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities

- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for individuals **Experience:**

- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred - Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' needs

- Familiarity with home care practices and procedures

- Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

**Skills:**

- First aid and CPR certification preferred

- Experience in medication administration

- Knowledge of social work principles and practices

- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors
